Celsius 13 - Janus Syndicate

"On Celsius 13, Corporations usually act extremely competetive. They fiercly protect their assets and knowledge base. Every chance they get, they try to snipe talent from other corporations to grow their own operations, the talent themselves mostly getting no say in their fate. Unless one has connections to the top brass, or otherwise is in a position of power in the system, a cog in the machine is all one surmounts to.
One of the larger exceptions from the rule is the Janus Syndicate. They proudly proclaim their attitude as a familial system, modeled after earth based crime syndicates, right in their name. They try to evade the markets of their competitors and focus a lot more on service industry and protection rackets, rather than production. This way the Syndicate managed to fly under the radar of the bigger corporations for a long time, grow immensly until it could hold its own openly."
